Among the hills of Valpolicella and the shores of Lake Garda, Umberto and his son Udalrigo carefully and passionately grow grapes destined for the production of full-bodied red wines, made for everyday, home-style enjoyment.

Udalrigo, a great sports enthusiast and a prominent figure within Verona’s sporting community, inherited his father’s passion and commitment. While continuing the family’s winemaking tradition with the same care and dedication, he chose never to expand it commercially or transform it into a business venture. For him, as for his father, winemaking remained an expression of family heritage, personal passion, and connection to the land rather than a commercial pursuit.
The Third Generation
It is with the third generation, represented by Elisabetta Crinelli, that the story takes a new direction. After moving to Modena for love and study, Elisabetta becomes captivated by this intense land, rich in rural traditions, vineyards, and olive groves, where every breeze carries the scent of must and aged wood, and the rolling hills at times recall her beloved Valpolicella.
As she explored the culture and traditions of the region, Elisabetta discovered a fascinating new world: the world of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar. With love, vision, and tenacity, Elisabetta decided to found the Famiglia Crinelli brand, creating a new tradition that brings together two worlds that have shaped her life.
